Back with a Bang

How did 3 months pass already? Our poor blog has been severely neglected….and several of you have reminded me of this tragedy!  I could give you lots of excuses but yada, yada, yada…let’s just jump right in with a few snippets from this week.

On Wednesday it was the One Year anniversary from our Court date in Ethiopia. I posted the following on Facebook:

“One year ago today we said “YES” to the judge in Ethiopia and she spoke the words our hearts longed to hear…”He is yours!” Our hearts were torn because of the heartache another woman had to bear but rejoiced because we now had a son and he had a mommy and daddy. One year later, I am grateful to the God of redemption….He has blessed us with the most amazing gift ever…our precious, precious Cohen Bereket who is full of joy, life, energy, and zeal. He keeps us on our toes and brings laughter to our lives on a daily basis. I praise you God for all that you have done in the last year!”

A few more tidbits from this week…

My text to Mike on Wednesday:  I walked to Cohen’s room to put something away…he was following me and then he wasn’t.  Then I heard water and shrieking. :D

Oh. my. stars.

Attached to the text was this video…

On one of our fabulously nice mornings this week we went to the park….I think he liked it…

I sent Mike this text:  “At the park….This place is AWESOME!”

Yesterday, we were cooking lunch and I handed Cohen the a spice container to occupy him for a moment while I finished getting everything ready.  It had the lid on it when I handed it to him.  Then I turned around to find this….Damage was done…Might as well take pictures.

This is our life ….He definitely keeps us on our toes but I wouldn’t have it any other way!  He brings such joy, laughter, and energy everywhere he goes.  We can’t imagine our life without him.

Emily can’t decide if her favorite pic is the one on the playground or the baby CoCo picture. I’m loving the sink video. Either way, you’ve got a cutie on your hands!

I can’t believe he was up in the sink!!! hahaha That’s hilarious!!! He definitely knows how to have a good time! Last night John and I were deep in conversation and then peeked around the corner to find Mareto sitting in the middle of the dining room with a empty potato chip bag in his hand and chips EVERYWHERE!!! He was having so much fun and it was already a mess… so we just let him play in it for awhile. haha

That video made me laugh out loud! I haven’t videoed a thing AG has done, so you have inspired me! Isn’t it amazing the things they get into so young? Have you figured out how he even got in the sink? I’m totally amazed and laughing again and again at that video. :)

Oh i know exactly how he got in there….he is SUPER STRONG and a master climber. In this case he climbs on the toilet and then quickly uses the toilet paper holder as a step and in the sink he goes. He can get to pretty much any surface in our house now. He’s fast!
